Description
The Keziah Kaftan in Desi Cotton and Hemp is a celebration of warmth, craftsmanship, and quiet beauty. Created in collaboration with Studio Itiha, a natural dyeing studio in Pune, India, each piece is entirely handmade- from loom-weaving the desi cotton and hemp fabric, to naturally dyeing it with marigold flowers and madder root, to the hand-finishing and stitching by the talented women of Anubhuti, a women's NGO in India.
Featuring a striking two-tone colour-block design, the Keziah blends the golden warmth of marigold flowers with the earthy richness of madder root. Inspired by sun-drenched landscapes and the soft glow of dusk, the contrast of colour is both grounding and luminous. Hand-stitched detailing celebrates the beauty of slow craftsmanship, honouring the many hands involved in bringing each garment to life.
Woven from a breathable blend of desi cotton and hemp, the fabric has a beautiful texture and fluid drape that softens with every wear. The relaxed silhouette falls gracefully to the ankles, while the soft V-neckline and wide sleeves create an effortless sense of ease. Designed to move with you through celebrations, everyday rituals, and meaningful moments, the Keziah is a timeless piece to treasure for years to come.

Artisanal Notes
Our naturally dyed kaftans are the result of a collaboration with natural dying studio - Studio Itiha, based in pune, India.
Studio Itiha is rooted in the belief that nature holds everything we need. Their work brings back age-old dyeing traditions that have been part of Indian culture for centuries. Using natural dyes sourced locally and in abundance, they go a step further by incorporating food waste, plant matter, and temple flower waste into their processes - transforming what would be discarded into something beautiful.
Through this collaboration, we aim to unite our shared values and belief in a better way of creating, offering you unique, timeless pieces to cherish and wear at life’s most memorable moments for years to come.

Materials & Care
Care Instructions
This Kafi Folk garment is crafted from handloom woven desi cotton and hemp, and naturally dyed using plant-based dyes. Natural dyes possess a unique beauty and character, and with mindful care, your garment will remain vibrant for years to come.
- Hand wash only in cold water (maximum 30°C / 86°F) using a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
- Wash separately for the first few washes to prevent colour transfer.
- Do not soak for extended periods.
- Air dry flat or hang to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
Iron on low to medium heat while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a pressing cloth to protect the surface. - Avoid spraying perfumes, deodorants, essential oils, or other harsh chemicals directly onto the garment. Natural dyes are pH-sensitive and exposure to products with strong acidic or alkaline properties may alter the colour and cause permanent markings or colour shifts.
- To preserve the integrity of the natural dyes, avoid contact with bleach, stain removers, and other harsh cleaning agents.
As with all naturally dyed textiles, variations and subtle changes in colour over time are part of the garment's unique character and beauty. Caring for your piece with gentle, pH-balanced products will help maintain the richness of the natural dyes and extend the life of your garment.
