Hi there! Maxine here -founder, creative director and the passion behind Kafi Folk. I believe in supporting craft, culture, and community and this is what I build my brand values on.

When I founded Kafi Folk in 2019, the values of craft, culture and community were in my heart, but I didn’t fully understand how to bring them to life. After six years of learning and exploring the fashion and textile industry, I’m ready to begin another chapter - growing into these values fully and authentically.

What 2026 Will Bring

Next year, we’ll celebrate craft like never before. Expect more variety in fabrics, designs, and storytelling. Our new partnerships include:

• Natural dyeing studio, Pune - handwoven textiles and designs in unique dye techniques.
• 4th-generation women-led block print house, Jaipur - soft cotton block prints in your favourite silhouettes year-round.
• Ikat weaving family, Telangana - naturally dyed loom-woven ikat skirts, shirt dresses and evening gowns.
• Kalbelia community, Bundi - hand embroidered one-of-a-kind kaftans telling stories through thread.
• 5th-generation studio, Bagru - earthy tones and natural pigments in block printed cotton
• 4th generation natural dyeing studio - Bagru - natural and indigo dyed creations on mulberry silk and soft wool for a beautiful fall collection.
• New designer, Mumbai - collaborating to create fresh silhouettes and design ideas.
• Local Jaipur NGO – supporting free education for slum children and women, helping build brighter futures through learning.

Through these collaborations, we'll tell the story of every fabric, every hand, every tradition - creating authentic, ethically made clothing that carries its story beautifully.

How does it work?

On purchasing your credit, you will receive a reply email from me personally within 24 hours, providing you a unique code that will be active with your credit when our first drop launches in 2026. This code will be active to redeem within a one year time frame.
