Honouring Craft

Over the past seven years, Kafi Folk has had the privilege of working alongside a range of artisan partners - grass weavers in Ghana, block printers in Jaipur, knitters in Himachal Pradesh, loom weavers and natural dyers in both Hungary and India. Through each collaboration, our respect for handmade craft has deepened. It has shown us just how vital it is to preserve these traditions for future generations. Through conscious, collective collaboration, we hope to play a small part in educating and inspiring more thoughtful, ethical ways of producing.

Mindful Materials

Our fabrics are at the heart of everything we create. We work closely with our long-standing block print partners in Jaipur, India, sourcing and printing textiles with care, intention, and respect for craft. Alongside this, we explore small-batch collections in loom-woven, naturally dyed, and delicately embroidered fabrics - always chosen for how they feel on your skin. Each piece is finished with handmade tassels from our trusted partner in Hungary, crafted slowly and with care.

Azo Free Dyes

Our skin is our largest living layer, and what we wear sits with it all day - so we believe it matters deeply what goes into our fabrics. That’s why we are mindful about every dyeing process we choose, prioritising safer, more responsible methods that are gentler on both skin and environment. We prioritise azo-free and natural dyes, softness, and breathability because what you wear should feel as good as it looks.

Made To Order

Our made-to-order process is a conscious choice to create with care and intention. Each piece is only produced once your order is placed online or in small, considered batches. At that point, we begin sourcing your selected fabric and tassels and bring your piece to life just for you. Please allow 3–4 weeks for creation, with your exact shipping date always noted in each product description. This slower, more mindful approach allows us to stay connected to our materials, reduce waste, and honour a more responsible way of producing garments.
